5 TIPS ON FINDING RIGHT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER AT THE BRIDAL FAIR
5 TIPS ON FINDING YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER AT THE BRIDAL FAIR
By Diana Duzbayeva and Susan Hofforth on February 1st, 2019
Welcome to my first blog post! Keemera Photography had a fabulous January, and I am feeling really excited about all the upcoming photo sessions in 2019. For the first time, we participated in not one but two bridal fairs. Yay! It was a great experience, and I am definitely looking forward to doing it again next year.
Thanks to all those who entered our contests at both of the bridal shows. Congratulations to the winners of our two engagement photo sessions — Francesca at the Wedding Fair and Amy at Bridal Fantasy. And thanks to everyone else for showing us your love and your enthusiasm.
Here are five things that that can help you to find the right photographer at a bridal show.
1. Take stickers
If you think you are going to enter a lot of contests, take address stickers to save yourself writing your name, phone number, wedding date and email over and over at different booths. It saves time, hand cramps, and it moves you out of the way of the crowd much faster.
2. Have questions ready
Think about what you want from the photographer. Have a list of questions in mind. It is very helpful to know what you need before you start talking to people.
3. Choose someone you like
Talk to the actual photographer. If you love their work, get to know the person behind the camera too, and don’t book until you are sure you will all get along. If you want the photographer to get those beautiful shots, then you should be comfortable enough with them to forget that they are right there beside you all day.
4. Think it over first
If you have any doubts, don’t book right away. Give yourself a few days to think it over. Look at the photographs and save the business cards and brochures. Then call and meet the photographer for coffee.
5. Are they offering what you need?
Think about what your needs will be and then look at the packages each of the photographers are offering. The great thing about the trade show is that you have an easy price comparison. Does the package include the number of hours the photographer will be with you? How many photographers will they provide? Is an engagement session included in the package? What about albums and prints?
If you haven’t chosen your wedding photographer yet, call Keemera. I would love to be a part of your special day, and I can answer any questions you have.
